I joined Community Bridges in 2019 as a volunteer, with the idea of getting involved in a local project that helped the community I lived in, while also being able to become part of a group of like-minded individuals who I might one day call friends.
When I joined, I worked on the redesign across the magazines and was also responsible for putting together the two monthly magazines for print (Peckham and Camberwell editions) Throughout 2020 and 2021, I've been working on social design as well as newsletter design and illustrations for the blog.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
Promoting podcast episodes, collaborations with other non-profit organisations and competitions.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER:
I designed a newsletter template which included fun, colourful headers and sub-headers in line with the colour scheme and general feel of CB.

BLOG ILLUSTRATIONS:
One of the CB contributors was writing an article on plastic and the environment and interviewed a local woman who runs 'Plastic Free Peckham'. I did some illustrations for the article.

PROMO POSTER AND FLYERS:
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, the printed magazine was halted for safety and cost reasons.
Sandra, the CEO, and her husband Geoff started a podcast which meant we could still reach the community. We needed to promote this, so I designed some flyers which we posted door-to-door and I also created some posters which we placed in the local area.
